PLAYA DEL CARMEN

Want your cake and eat it too?  Playa del Carmen is just 40 miles south of Cancun and 30 miles north of Tulum and is much more laid back and relaxing.

Playa del Carmen has been noted as one of the fastest growing retirement communities in all of Latin America.  It is also known as one of the best places to live while being able to explore the Rivera Maya, the Cancun – Tulum corridor.

Playa is also experiencing growth in the hotel and tourism business and that has brought many new job opportunities to the area.

Additionally, Playa is a big attraction to retiring baby-boomers because it draws many people from Canada and South America as well as the United States.

Within this cosmopolitan community of beach residences, you will hear languages of French, Italian, English and English accent being spoken.  Imagine a local community, on the pristine Caribbean with an International flair!  This is a great attraction and has contributed to making the real estate market in Playa one of the most important in Latin America.

From the European back packers of 15 years ago who sought out the peaceful beach areas, now Playa offers a large area, the popular 5th Avenue or Quinta Avenida, where you will find café’s, restaurants and boutique stores.

If you’re into sports, you can golf on one of the many new golf courses along the shoreline or go sailing, fishing, kayaking or bicycling.
